Unrestricted remark as a genre of parliamentary speech (based on Russian parliamentary discourse of the early XX century)

The article deals with the remark as a special genre of Russian parliamentary speech. The author analyses various approaches to parliamentary genres. Parliamentary discourse is viewed as institutional, having a dynamic genre structure. The research studies the institutional restrictions imposed on statements in the form of a remark. There is a conclusion about the role of procedural regulation in the formation of a system of discourse genres and the possibility to distinguish unregulated and regulated remarks.

Casus generis

The relevance of the subject of the research is determined by the fact that the problem of the genre differentiation of scientific literature in Latin is poorly explored. The research is based on the fragment of a medical text of the XVI century. The purpose of the research is the analysis of its genre originality.

Speech genres of negative reaction

The article presents a study of a group of speech genres, where the factor of the past is relevant, i.e. which are reaction genres. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for the next step in the study of speech genres: from the description of specific genres to the identification and description of systemic relationships between them. The study is a genre analysis of the statements of the Russian language, recorded in the Corpus of the National Russian Language.

Жaнрообразующие признаки самопрезентации (на материале самопрезентации студентов)

Статья посвящена относительно новому жанру речи – самопрезентации. Исследование проводится на материале самопрезентаций студентов-нефилологов географического, социологического, биологического, механико-математического факультетов, факультета компьютерных наук и информационных технологий, Института физической культуры и спорта Саратовского национального исследовательского государственного университета и филологов, обучающихся в Институте филологии и журналистики.

Особенности стилистики произведений французского писателя Андре Моруа

Изучение художественных текстов выполняет задачи исследования языковых особенностей и стилистических приемов определенного автора. Литературные произведения отражают индивидуальный авторский подход к использованию языка как средства передачи человеческой мысли и видения мира. Отличительной чертой одного автора от других является непосредственная самобытная реализация: особенности проявляются в выборе формы произведения, а также в совокупности использования различных языковых средств как грамматических, так и лексических.

Стереотипы в позднем творчестве А.И. Куприна (на материале публицистики 1920-х-1930-х гг.)

Стереотипы и мировоззренческие установки тесно связаны друг с другом и формируют поведение человека, определяют не только личное отношение автора к действительности, но и влияют на восприятие читателем объективной реальности. Для публицистики характерно использование стереотипов. Стереотипы упрощают восприятие действительности. Однако излишняя стереотипизация лишает авторский текст стилистического своеобразия, что приводит к устареванию писательского дарования. В основе работы рассматривается публицистика А.И. Куприна периода эмиграции.

Article Hedges vs boosters: Communicative mitigation and enhancement in the genre of dissertation review

The article presents the results of the cross-disciplinary research which focuses on the two types of discourse markers – hedges and boosters and their use in Russian official dissertation reviews. The study is based on reviews of official opponents and external reviewers of PhD theses on linguistics, literary criticism, history, physics, chemistry and medicine. The reviews were borrowed from the online pages of dissertation councils of Russian universities.

Speech-genre representation of the food tradition (based on Vologda dialects)

Modern dialectology develops in compliance with anthropocentric linguistics and it is a polyparadigmatic scientific field in which one of the leading positions is currently occupied by the communicative direction. The peculiarities of the genre nature of the dialect text is one of the topical directions of communicative dialectology. The article presents the study of the speech-genre representation of the food tradition which existed in the past and currently exists in the villages of the Vytegorsky and Totemsky districts in Vologda Oblast.

The curse genre of ’Kargys’ in the Kazakh language: Is the belief in the magical power of the word still preserved?

The speech genre of curse analyzed in the article belongs to the most ancient genres of oral communication in Kazakh culture. It is based on belief in the magical function of the word, in the ability to bring harm and evil to the cursed with the help of magical powers. Kargys is a pattern, its stable verbal formulas are preserved in the linguistic consciousness of the modern native speakers, despite the fact that the archaic foundations of the pattern may not be fully understood by them.

Мотивационная речь: специфика функционирования речевого жанра

Исследование посвящено описанию речевого жанра «мотивационная речь» на материале англоязычного мотивационного дискурса. Актуальность и научная новизна обусловлены необходимостью конструирования определения мотивационного дискурса, уточнения его дискурсивной интенции и стратегии, изучения и описания его жанрового своеобразия.
