The genre with a thousand faces: The perspective of the philologist Vladimir S. Vakhrushev

This article presents an interdisciplinary conception of genre proposed by the Russian philologist from Balashov, Professor Vladimir Serafimovich Vakhrushev. The feasibility of this task can be mainly seen in two aspects. First of all, Vakhrushev conceives genre as an ideal model generating versatile phenomena not only of discursive, but also of social, cultural, and historical processes.

Speech genres of negative reaction

The article presents a study of a group of speech genres, where the factor of the past is relevant, i.e. which are reaction genres. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for the next step in the study of speech genres: from the description of specific genres to the identification and description of systemic relationships between them. The study is a genre analysis of the statements of the Russian language, recorded in the Corpus of the National Russian Language.

Многоликий жанр в концепции филолога В.С. Вахрушева

В этой статье читателю представляется междисциплинарная жанрологическая концепция Балашовского филолога, профессора Владимира Серафимовича Вахрушева. Научная целесообразность данной задачи объясняется несколькими моментами. Во-первых, концепция Вахрушева представляет жанр как идеальную модель, генерирующую явления не только дискурсивного, но и социального, культурного, исторического процессов.

Речежанровый анализ в методологическом и методическом обеспечении мультидисциплинарного исследования естественной детской речи

Рассмотрено ключевое значение феномена и понятия «речевой жанр» (vs. «речевой акт») для разработки методологии мультидисциплинарных исследований речи и создания методики анализа речевых данных, которая учитывает как информоёмкость речевого жанра, так и ограничения, что требует привлечения научных аппаратов различных отраслей психологии, социологии коммуникации, а следовательно, процедур их согласования с аппаратами современного речеведения и лингвистики.

The article is devoted to a concise analysis of correlation between language, culture, linguo-culture, mind, communication and community, that are regarded as part and parcel of some indivisible unity which is in focus of nowadays researches of integrative character. The speech genres are analysed in the paper through the prism of the unity in question

Blasphemy as a speech genre

At present the problem of genristics attracts attention of a considerable number of philologists. Among other things, a separate problem arises, that of widening or narrowing of the notion of genre as a concept. The author considers it advisable to include blasphemy in the wider field of a genre, as blasphemy presumes an intention to declare the atheist stand of the speaker and, simultaneously, to discredit the position of the opponent.

English Riddle

Riddle is a playful representation of a known object, figuratively coding its designation and assuming the direct name actualization of this object in a recipient's reaction. Riddles refer to the folklore genre, the basic functions of which are entertainment and enlightenment. These functions are expressed in constitutive features of the riddle and its textual construction. The article focuses on such English riddle features, as indirectness, axiological and heuristic game character, fascinativeness, as well as manipulative potential.

THE GENRE OF SELF-PRESENTATION IN THE POETRY OF THE RUSSIAN FUTURISM

The article considers a special place of the self-presentation genre in the poetry of the Russian futurism. this place was predetermined by the overall style of the epoch and the counterintuitive communicative strategy of the new poetic school, the connection between the self-presentation and advertisement genres is traced.

Genres of Network Discourse

The paper deals with genre characteristics of network discourse treated as communication in social networks. Constitutive features of this communication include (1) a communicative community of people who share mutual interests and have access to a common electronic resource, (2) multimodal semiotic nature of messages having visual, audial and textual components, (3) opportunity of immediate responses to any message, (4) a short communicative distance with merging of public and private formats of interaction.

Comical Attractives in Network Discourse

The article deals with comical reposts treated as a genre of network discourse. They include jokes, anecdotes, demotivators and other texts designed for entertaining readers. Such texts upturn stereotypical opinions and ways of behavior. The techniques of their construction and interpretation consist in incongruities between their parts and blending of incompatible meanings which seem bizarre and hence funny.
