Cognitive-operational and speech-genre universalism of the oxymoron

The article attempts to explicate the stylistic figure of the oxymoron as a phenomenon that shows the representation in the sphere of language of a specific property of human consciousness and the picture of the world structured by it – the presumption of the unsubstantial nature of opposites and the possibility, on this basis, of their discursive actualization in the formulas of semantic synthesis.

Cultural knowledge as the conceptual basis of the speech genre of religious instruction (based on media discourse)

In the modern media environment covering all fields of human endeavour different types of discourse, religious ones with their genres as well, get representation. The speech genre of religious instruction seems to be most widely spread. The genre under discussion is viewed as a part of the primary genre in the religious discourse – preaching which is presupposed to interpret principles of practical usage of religious postulates and rules.

Genre Communicative Analysis of the Gospels Parable on the Material of Orthodox and Protestant Sources

The study of particular kinds of discourse becomes more and more actual in modern linguistics. During the last decades in Russian linguistics discoursology developed into a separate direction focused on study of theoretical and applied aspects of discourse. In this connection many researches of the end of 90s and beginning of 2000s are dedicated to the study of religious discourse.
