The article which is based on the research of English newspaper texts gives an insight into the characteristics of the analytical article. Due to insufficient studies of the English analytical articles this research direction is still an academic challenge. In the paper the analytical article is defined as a text based on an analytical approach which aims at presenting a comprehensive outlook on significant socio-political issues with a focus on cause-effect relation between different informational blocks.
