О возможности красноречия в жанрах научной прозы

Статья посвящена дискуссионной теме определения возможностей использования экспрессивных языковых средств в научной прозе. Переход от классической к постнеклассической науке сопровождался существенными изменениями в стилистике научной прозы.

The Oral Narrative of a Student Activist as a Speech Genre

The speech ecosystem of an activist’s utterance is rooted in the paradigm of concepts of “movement”, “action”, “initiative”. Unlike their elder role models - the officials, who learned to avoid the first-personpronoun in their speeches - an activist is using an I-narrative which serves several purposes of the utterance. Firstly, it helps demonstrate their positive experience to those who are starting or thinking about joining the ranks of activists. Secondly, it is a public recognition of their own achievements.

Poetics of Naive Love (Based on Soviet Handicraft Photo Postcards of the 1950s)

In the 1950s in the USSR, there was a handicraft production of photo cards. These cards reveal such topics as “love”, “memory”, “greeting, congratulation”, “future life”. The pictures show the portraits of actresses and actors, old West-European greeting cards, and staged (artificially created) photos. It was a continuation of the traditions of Russian ‘lubok’ prints, notes (recordings) in albums, moralistic poetry.

Public Apology: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

The article describes the genre of public apology in the diachronic and synchronic aspects. The data from different types of discourse serve as the material for the analysis: belles­lettres, nonconformist, judicial, political, mass­-media. The method of discourse analysis was the leading one while analyzing the functioning of public apology in various types of interaction. The method of contextual study of communicative situation was also applied.
