Multimodality of literary critical reviews on the Internet: New requirements of the genre

Autors:
Govorukhina Yuliya Anatolyevna, Siberian Federal University
Abstract:

The format of the book Telegram channel as one of the most popular and effective tools for the development of book communication demonstrates a new specific property of metatextual reflection – multimodality. In this regard, it seems relevant to determine the functions of the visual mode of presenting information. The article presents the results of the analysis of the use of photographs, emoji, various forms of highlighting a word (font highlighting, underlining, strikethrough) in online reader reviews. It is proved that multimodality in the judgment of a non-professional reader is a form of substitution of those properties of literary critics that have formed in the professional community during the history of literary development. The content of such concepts as aesthetic perception, evaluation, interpretation is considered in relation to amateur reader reflection, presented in the online modification of the book review genre. It is proved that the author of the book Telegram channel exists in the space of contradictory identity.
