Abstract:

The article presents the systematization of genres of digital discourse of the executive power of the Russian Federation. Taking into account the type of communicative intention, the official content is systematized and the following groups of genres are identified: 1) informative (bulletin, digest, long read, news article, report, register, etc.); 2) instructional (instruction, recommendation); 3) epideictic (congratulation, gratitude, personification); 4) interactive (quiz, survey, test, etc.); 5) motivational (announcement, citation book); 6) phatic (gamified content). Based on posts of three federal ministries in the social network “VKontakte”, the paper describes the phenomenon of genre hybridization, which results in the creation of a new communication product in terms of structure, content, style or format. It is argued that hybridization of genres is enhanced under the influence of technological capabilities of web platforms. It is suggested that with the development of social networks and messengers, public administration bodies increasingly use “informal formats” of texts, the genre of which does not fit into the regulations of official communication. The analysis of the empirical material has shown that the informal business text is characterized by a relaxed tone, emotionality and other features indicating the publisher’s desire to reduce the distance with the audience. It is concluded that the use of hybrid genres in the content of state institutions, which are foreign to official business speech, contributes to a more effective dialog between the authorities and society.
