Genres of speech from the point of view of the translation theory (based on legal discourse)

Abstract. The aim of this study is to consider the theoretical and pragmatic aspects of legal translation developed by linguists and practicing translators in relation to legal discourse. The relevance of the article is due to the existing approaches to legal translation in linguistic theory, as well as to the provisions of the modern general theory of translation, terminological studies and the theory of intercultural communication.

Рецензия представляет читателю монографию В. Гладрова и Е. Которовой, посвященную основным понятиям и методологии исследования межкультурного речевого поведения. Актуальность исследования не вызывает сомнений ввиду назревшей необходимости теоретического обоснования контрастивных исследований, с одной стороны, и систематизации типичных ситуаций общения - с другой. Монография решает обе задачи.
