The article presents the study of the genre of a distance learning class, the relevance of the study of which is conditioned by the need to research the genres of a new discourse type of modern educational space – the discourse of distance education. The authors define a distance learning session as a communicative educational event unfolding in the virtual space of the Internet, which largely predetermines its media, pragmatic, compositional and structural parameters.
