The text of the certificate of honour as a genre of writing

The article proves that the text of the certificate of honor is a genre of official business style written discourse. The relevance of the work is connected, on the one hand, with the duration of the existence and high occurencence of this genre in the system of written communication, on the other hand, with the lack of special works related to its description. The purpose of the article is to identify and describe the genre features and linguistic features of the texts of certificates of honor.

Текст почётной грамоты как жанр письменной речи

В статье доказывается, что текст почётной грамоты представляет собой жанр письменной речи официально-делового стиля. Актуальность работы связана, с одной стороны, с длительностью существования и распространённостью данного жанра в системе письменной коммуникации, с другой – с отсутствием специальных работ, связанных с его изучением. Цель статьи – выявить и описать жанровые признаки и языковые особенности текстов почётных грамот. Методы: наблюдение, функциональный анализ языковых единиц, описание.

Letters of recantation as a specific feature of soviet discourse (based on readers’ letters to “Pravda” and “Izvestija” newspapers in 1920ths)

In the present article, I analyze one subtype of readers’ letters, published in Soviet newspapers in 1920ths, namely, letters of recantation. By this term I mean letters where the author announces his or her resignation from a non-Bolshevist political party. The linguistic analysis of letters of recantation which is proposed in the article allows me to trace some important properties of the Soviet discourse which was only beginning to form in the period under analysis.
