Reader’s comment as a genre of the modern Russian blog sphere

The paper deals with reader comments to blogs in Runet treated as a speech genre. The relevance of the topic lies in the fact that blogging is a common practice of public discussion concerning vital or interesting problems of present day life in Russia. The topics analyzed include social problems, historical issues, literature, ecology and technological progress. The aim of the article is to describe the types of comments to blogs.

Implicit expression of political stance in political weblogs

The article analyses the ways of implicit expression of the political stance of bloggers. The relevance of the topic under study is determined by the increased influence of non-institutional means of communication on political processes. Blogs, social networks, and messengers have become an important tool of communication among members of civil society, as well as platforms for expressing citizens’ positions. The expression of a blogger’s political position does not always occur directly and explicitly.

The interaction of the categories of expressiveness and evaluativity in personal genres of the US media discourse

The aim of the given research is to elucidate the correlation between lexical stylistic (expressive) devices and their contextual evaluative meanings in the genres of blog and column of the US media space. The categories of expressiveness and evaluativity are the most essential for adequate understanding and interpretation of modern media in the context of technological convergence, information exchange speed increase, tangible transformation of genre systems, and increased subjectivity.

Dialogization of discourse and genre in media

The article studies dialogization of media monologue messages aimed at intensifying the interiorization of new information into the addressee’s picture of the world by stimulating a dialogue with the audience. There have been singled out two levels of dialogization–discourse and genre.

Dialogism in the genres of internet communication (chat, forum, blog)

The article deals with the timely problems of modern communicative linguistics and virtual genristics. In the article, the essence of the dialogism category is defined in relation to both traditional communication (not technically mediated and non related with electronic media environment), and in relation to Internet communication, where the studied category has its own characteristics. With the base on the lexicographical sources, the differences in the conceptual content and the use of the terms «dialogism» and «interactivity» are established.

TRANSFORMATION OF BLOGS AS A GENRE IN INSTANT MESSAGING APPLICATIONS

The article discusses the product of the blog hypergenre’s transformation in modern instant messaging applications as a further development of blogosphere discourse genres using the example of Telegram service. The novelty of blog channels in Russian and international Internet space and their growing popularity determine the relevance of the research.

The Mechanism of Formation of the Complex Speech Genre Model in an Intercultural Adoption

The article is devoted to a formation of a complex speech genre in the culture as a result of borrowing and transformation by changing the basic strategy of the speech genre. The author considers that the processes of assimilation of foreign-language model and the processes of perception and production of the speech are based on the similar principles.

LEXICAL MARKERS OF THE ONLINE COMMUNICATION GENRES

The article discusses methods of defining lexical and stylistic markers of the two genres of online communication, namely, blogs and group chats in social networks. Attention is paid to the strong and week points of using corpus methods for finding lexical units which can be classified as genre markers of online monologues and dialogues. The research is based on the data obtained from snapshot corpora of blogs and group chats as well as from the General Internet Corpus of the Russian Language.

Diary: Main Variants of the Genre

The research of the variability of a speech genre ”Diary” shows the presence of five basic models built on the following features: belonging to one of the basic worldviews, the type of mental space, the type of the concept forming the genre, the type of a modal subject, the reference towards reality, speech strategy and the genre format.
