Autors:

Abstract:

The article deals with short stories of the modern Russian science fiction writer Vadim Sharapov. It is emphasized that nowadays a genre of short stories is becoming highly demanded, as they correspond to the reader’s needs in the perception of short messages. The article focuses on the description of the content and problem-thematic aspects of the stories of Vadim Sharapov (the collection of “The Share of Angels”), as well as the characteristics of the hero – a simple Russian man. The author resorted to descriptive and receptional methods of text analysis. The hero of Vadim Sharapov’s stories is a hardworking, calm man who has experienced a lot in his life, for who a meeting with strange and terrible things is an ordinary affair and nothing can surprise him – neither a monster, nor the end of the world, nor the journey to the Underworld, nor the regular salvation of the world. This is the image of a righteous person who with his whole life preaches an unruffled calm when facing troubles, the ability to overcome any difficulties, justice, hard work, optimism. In V. V. Sharapov’s short stories about a simple Russian person the ordinary and the unusual are closely interwoven, and the surprising is submitted as the usual, and this creates a special atmosphere of the stories.
